Why Reno: Quality of Life

Why Reno: Quality of Life

Client Connection

Having just celebrated its 150th anniversary, Reno, Nevada has certainly come a long way. From its humble beginnings as a sleepy railroad stop, through the original gaming mecca, the Reno metropolitan area has emerged as a great place to live, work, and play. The question usually posed by those who have not really explored the area is still, “Why Reno?” To sum it up, we think it boils down to quality of life.

As with most of the country, the economic landscape of the area continues to change. Companies have continued to relocate to the area. Individuals, especially those moving from Northern California, are able to benefit from more affordable housing, a good school system, an ever-growing social and food scene, and, of course, spending less time in traffic!

Sitting at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills, residents have an incredible variety of outdoor activities year round, be it mountain biking through the forests or tackling the moguls at any of the area’s top-rated ski resorts. If you still miss the big city feel, San Francisco is still only an hour’s flight or 3.5 hour drive away. Why just visit one of the country’s top playgrounds when you can live here!

Stay tuned for follow-up posts on Why Reno and why we think it is a great place to live!
