Client Connection

Another one of SFG’s beloved traditions is caroling at our local Veterans Hospital, which we’ve been doing for eight years now. Each December we gather our spouses, children, parents, and friends — the more the merrier! — and spend an afternoon singing Christmas carols to (and with) the veterans at the hospital. This year we sang in the main dining hall and also walked around the hallways so patients in their rooms could hear as well. Many of them joined in, requested songs, and sang merrily with us.

We gave handmade cards from students at Mountain View Montessori School to the veterans and thanked them for their service as we moved through the halls. The contact we’ve been working with to organize this event through the years thanked us for our continued commitment and honored SFG with a Certificate of Excellence this year. We couldn’t be more grateful to spend this time lifting a few spirits and seeing the veterans smile and sing along with us. If you’re inclined to join us next year, we’d love to have you!

SFG Adopts a Family

As part of our core value “Service Heart”, SFG enjoys giving back to the community. The winter months are a good opportunity for us to help out, so that’s exactly what we’re doing. As is tradition, we adopted a family through the Northern Nevada Children’s Cabinet.
