SFG Investment Due Diligence Trips

Schultz Financial Group Inc. is committed to the Intellectual Capital of our team members. As such, this spring we attended various conferences and events, and we had several meetings with investment managers.

Once an investment is approved, we continue to monitor the investment strategy, the makeup of the team, and perform ongoing due diligence. In April, Alyssa, Russ, and Vicki went to Boca Raton, FL to attend a real estate conference. In addition to the conference, they met with two other real estate investment teams to get an update on their funds and the marketplace. On their way home, the SFG team was also able to meet with a real estate investment group in Dallas, TX. One theme each of the investment managers demonstrated was “patience is key”. We believe each of the real estate managers is diligent in their research phase before taking on new projects and they are cognizant of current market conditions when pursuing a sale.

In May, Alyssa, Russ, and Vicki had a chance to visit private credit managers in San Francisco, CA. With dislocations in the banking sector, it appears that these private managers have a unique opportunity set ahead of them. Credit underwriting and deal structure continues to remain at the forefront of their focus as the managers enter into new transactions.
