NAPFA Connect Spring 2020

Schultz Financial Group and our advisors have been long-standing members of The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and attendees of NAPFA Connect. NAPFA is the country’s leading professional association of fee-only financial advisors. NAPFA hosts several conferences and events to provide continuing education to its members. However, this year the in-person conference was cancelled. In place of the spring conference, NAPFA hosted NAPFA Connect: a virtual conference experience. Vicki, Alyssa, and Clarissa attended both live and recorded sessions for NAPFA Connect.

Some of the topics covered included tax planning under the CARES Act, the heightened importance of cybersecurity, insurance reviews, and estate planning for instance. Above all, the speakers were experts in their fields and SFG team members enjoyed learning from them.

Additionally, SFG has already implemented some of the tax-planning strategies discussed and some of the cybersecurity best practices presented. We continue to learn and improve our intellectual capital through ongoing education and virtual conference attendance.

NAPFA’s declared mission is to serve as:

  • The beacon for independent, objective financial advice for individuals and families.
  • The champion of financial services delivered in the public interest.
  • The standard bearer for the emerging profession of financial planning.
